Living In A Different Country

Goals

I recently decided that I want to live in a different country. I think it will be a great life experience that I will get a lot out of. I’ve never really had the guts to actually go through with it though. I have always been scared of missing school or having to quit my job to get the time off.

After some deep thought all of those reasons just seem superficial and silly. I can always retake something in school, I can find a different part-time job. My parents might not like the idea of me going to live in another country alone; but I don’t think that is something they can stay mad at me about.

My friend Neo is doing something similar to this, he is going to live in Costa Rica for a month in September and then Cancun for a month in March. I am going to meet up with him on my Spring Break for 10 days and stay with him at his hostel to ease myself into the whole experience.

I don’t know if he will be coming to Panama with me, but it would be awesome if he does. He is the only person I know with enough moxie to pack up and go on an adventure like this.

My travel schedule so far is…

March 7th-10th – Cancun, Mexico with Neo for Spring Break

June 3rd-July 3rd – Panama City, Panama.

A lot of my friends understand why I would go to Cancun for Spring Break, but ask why on Earth I would choose to live somewhere like Panama?

Interestingly enough, I was sitting around drinking a Snapple from the vending machine at work, and underneath the cap where they have the famous “Snapple Facts” I got this…

Snapple Fact #147:
Panama is the only place in the world where you can see the sun rise on the Pacific and set on the Atlantic.

What more of a reason do I need?

Don’t leave, I will miss you. But at least I can have a place to stay for free on vacation.
