Travel

These are the countries I want to visit during my round the world trip in 2010. Assuming I can afford it after I graduate.

In no particular order, just grouped by continent

North America:
1. Orlando (start here!)

South America:
1. Rio De Janiero, Brazil

Australia: (these three are all right next to each other)
1. Sydney, Australia
2. Auckland, New Zealand
3. Nada, Fiji (quick island hop ride from New Zealand)

Asia:
1. Bangkok, Thailand
2. India

Africa: (on the way to europe)
1. Cairo, Egypt (the fucking pyramids man!)

Eastern Europe: (it looks like the planner only goes to Serbia though)
1. Bosnia
2. Croatia

Western Europe:
1. Galway, Ireland (fly into dublin, take the train to galway, its supposed to be awesome)
2. Amsterdam, Netherlands (good spot to catch flights around europe
3. Greece (pops up as a free stop in the planner a lot)
4. London, England (easiest place to fly home from)

Stuff that would be cool but probably too expensive:
1. Spain
2. France
3. Japan

My wife and I are currently in Ireland for the semester, studying abroad. We’re from Kentucky originally. Loving it here!

If you’re going to be flying into Dublin anyway, be sure and take a stroll over to the Temple Bar area. It’s a short walk and a really cool area to explore. Stop by one of the pubs for a pint and some live music.

We haven’t been to Galway yet, but plan on visiting while we’re here. We’ve heard good things about it already!

Yo Tim, been awhile…just happened to see a link to your site and was checking out some of the older posts. I’ve been able to travel quite a bit for someone my age but I still have a huge wishlist (alot of the same places you list like Croatia, Rio, and the pyramids). Anyways, I wanted to let you know it looks like I’m getting stationed in Sydney for 2 years starting this May, so if you’re going to be making it to Australia next year, be sure to let me know. Hope things are well, Drew

Oh, and I’ll second Matthew’s comment, TempleBar in Dublin rocks.
